My Story
I came to counseling "later in life" (just typing those words hurts!). I believe my various life and career experiences enhance my ability to understand and identify with a wide range of people, issues, and situations that we face as the challenges of life.
I received a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Tulane University and went on to earn a Law Degree also from Tulane. I practiced law for several years in the 90's before my wife offered me the best job in the world: stay at home Dad. Being around and involved in my children’s lives was tremendously rewarding.
Somewhere along the line I realized that I'm more interested in feelings and emotions than arguing about detailed facts and figures (no offense to the legal world, it's just not for me). In 2007 I returned to school at Georgia State University and earned a Masters in Professional Counseling. I've been practicing as a Counselor/Therapist in various settings ever since, and love what I do.
